Help us replace our stolen van!

Last week, one of EmployAbility’s 8-passenger vans was stolen in the middle of the night, taken for a joyride, and then was abandoned with extensive ignition, lock, and body damage. As a result, one of our Community Access Groups can no longer take part in community volunteering activities like delivering Meals on Wheels and helping out at Emmaus House, and more than a dozen program participants have no transportation to and from the EmployAbility campus. This is truly devastating.

Community Access Groups provide vital, daily volunteer and enrichment opportunities to our program participants, helping them cultivate their skills for daily, independent living.

This is especially sad because not only do local non-profits count on us, but our program participants are extremely disappointed each day when they cannot go out and fulfill their daily volunteering commitments - they enjoy contributing, and they are proud of the difference they make in the community!

EmployAbility received an insurance settlement for our totaled van, but as you can imagine, the value of a 15-year-old van is very, very low.

We desperately need help from the community to raise the $25,000 we need to buy a used vehicle to replace the one we lost! We received an insurance settlement for our totaled van, but as you can imagine, the value of a 15-year-old van is very, very low, and the repairs exceed the value of the van. We will combine that money with the funds raised to purchase a replacement van

Please donate whatever amount you can and share this appeal with your personal and professional networks so that our program participants can resume their daily activities and can continue helping the community through their volunteer efforts!

With your support, none of our program participants will be isolated and unable to share their abilities with the community because of someone’s thoughtless, criminal actions.
