Last week at EmployAbility, 14 catalytic converters were stolen from our fleet of transportation. 11 vans and 2 wheelchair busses were impacted, creating an urgent need for security in addition to our need to purchase and install the missing parts.
Reports are coming in across the country of a rise in theft for these car parts. We fear that replacing the parts without added security will only provide additional opportunities for these unwanted guests to return. We need your help to restore our transportation which allows over 75% of our participants to come to campus every day.
Our participants have overcome so many obstacles over the last year. Quarantine was especially hard for those who rely on routine to bring a sense of normalcy to their day. After finally being allowed to come on campus, our participants deserve the security of our services to provide socialization, comfort, and education. Their families deserve the opportunity to go to work on time so they can provide for their loved ones.
Please donate what you can to help us get the vans back up and running!
